Hello lovelies :)

So 11th November was a little while ago, but today I have some poppy nails to show you.  These are water decals that I was sent from KKCenterHk.

I foolishly forgot to take a picture of the decals before I used them, so here's a picture from the website:

It's one of these full sheet ones that you just cut out the bit you want.  Shall I start with the negatives and end on a high...?  The sheet isn't big enough for all 10 nails.  I think you'd be lucky to get 7 nails maybe.  And I think I have fairly average width nails, not particularly wide.  Also they're very long - obviously that's a bonus if you have very long nails!  But it does mean if your nails are short or mid-length you're not going to fit the full design on.  That being said, I think the length of the design I managed to fit on my nails looked good :)

So here's the manicure I did!

 I used the decals over Barry M Matt White.  The decals were great to use, as always from KKCenterHK.  I used Barry M Red and Red Glitter for my accent nails, with a few splodges of glitter on the poppies as well.

NAIL ART | Mikulás manikűr By lakkhatalom

 Sziasztok!

Pici fáziskéséssel, de én is hozom a Mikulás-napi manikűröm, ami egyben a Mikulás hét utolsó bejegyzése is. Holnaptól egy időre búcsút mondunk a piros különböző árnyalatainak.

 

Igazából a tavalyi, elég kezdetlegesre sikerült szabadkézi festésem után idén már jó előre eldöntöttem, hogy másképp oldom meg a Mikulás festést, így a legutóbbi KKCenterHK-tól érkezett csomagomba még hónapokkal ezelőtt beválogattam egy karácsonyi water decal matricát, egészen pontosan ezt, így már csak a megfelelő lakkokat kellett összeválogatnom az ünnepi manikűrömhöz.

Megint a skittlette technikához nyúltam. A kisujjamra a Flormar matt lakkjai közül az M08-as piros árnyalatot használtam. A gyűrűs- és középső ujjamra pedig egy korábban kapott francia manikűr készlet fehér lakkja került. A mutató- és hüvelykujjam festéséhez ismét a héten már mutatott Ruby Pumps árnyalatot használtam a China Glaze-től.

A kis matricák használata egyébként pofon egyszerű. A körömlakk száradását követően pár másodperces fürdő után szépen leválasztjuk őket a papírról és a köröm felületére illesztjük, majd óvatosan rányomkodjuk, hogy az esetleges apró buborékokat, gyűrődéseket eltüntessük. Miután a felület teljesen megszáradt fedőlakkal rögzítjük a kis matricákat és már kész is a mutatós és rendkívül könnyű, ám annál cukibb Mikulásos manikűr.

A tavalyival ellentétben ezt a festést sokkal boldogabban és büszkébben viseltem.

 I love Halloween so hard you guys. I flirted with being a goth in my school days, yet now I only let my macabre flag fly in October… but even after October when KKCenterHK offered up these N.Nail Halloween Water Decals, I knew I had to act fast and get these on my nails pronto.

Since it's post-Halloween right now, I had to stick with accent nails instead of going a Halloween-a-palooza route and doing every nail.

I am in hardcore LOVE with these blood drips. I wish there was an entire set of just drips. These are so much easier than painting them on yourself, plus they look much better than anything I could have done.

Skulls! To avoid scary-vibes I paired these with a baby pink. They were a nice punk touch to a saccharine color scheme.

Wonky, bloody eyeballs! For some reason, each eyeball has a flat side… weird. Four are perfect for a texting-mani.

     Imi pare rau ca am lipsit saptamana aceasta de pe blog, dar credeti-ma ca a fost motivat. Prefer sa nu va spun motivul pana rezolv problema, sper din suflet sa o rezolv...
    Am pregatit aceste unghiute saptamana trecuta, dar abia acum vi le arat. Thoughts: When I first saw this on the website, I was a little bit confused. The water decal looked different than how it looked on the fake, blue nails. Not that much, but you can tell the water decal on the fake nails were more defined. So when I decided to get this, I wasn't sure what to expect.

It's definitely similar to the water decal of the first picture on the website. I wish it was more defined but it's okay. I was convinced I will make it work. :)

Here's what I did with the water decal. I wore 2 coats of Zoya in Sailor on all my nails. On the ring finger, I applied 1 coat of Morgan Taylor in Fame Game (love this color!) on top of Zoya in Sailor. Then I put the water decals on the middle and ring finger. Then I finished it either with Seche Vite Top Coat (index and ring finger) or OPI Matte Top Coat (middle and pinkie finger).

Here's my nails in another angle.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all from my initial impression, I wish the stars were more defined like the ones on the fake nails on the website. I also thought there weren't that many stars. There definitely was space for more. After my initial reaction and trying it out, I was kind of mixed. It's very easy to use. You cut around the stars you want to use. Then dip it in water and push to get the water decal. Then I use a Tweezer to apply onto the nails. They usually stick onto the nails and then you top it off with top coat. For some strange reason, these water decals did not stick whatsoever. I'm not too sure why. So what I had to do is hold the water decal in place with one finger and apply top coat. It definitely was not easy and at times, it moved to a space I wasn't planning on. Once the top coat dried, the water decal was sealed and would not move. It also lasts a long time until the polish chips in that area.

Pros:
* Comes in a variety of styles.
* Easy to use.
* Easy to pull the stars of the packaging.
* Easy to apply.
* Easy to apply top coat on top.
* Lasts a long time until the polish chips around the area.

Cons:
* Hard to find in stores.
* Wish the shape was more defined.
* It can have more stars on the packaging.
* Did not stick on polish.

Would repurchase: Yes, for water decals. No, not for this.
