Review : KKCenterHK Hexagonal Studs By nuthinbutanailthing

Hello!  A few weeks ago I showed you some Marquise shaped studs from KKCenterHK... Today I've got some hexagonal studs to show you, which cost $5 for a pack containing about 50 studs, so they definitely keep you going for a while!  Also,KKCenterHK have kindly provided a discount code for you all to use, so enter "nuthinbutanailthing" and you'll get yourself 10% off.

Anyway, onto the nails...I thought I'd give these are try as I am a big fan of studs, but I haven't tried out any hexagonal shaped studs before. The studs aren't flat backed, but they have a little rim on the edge, so they press down into your polish pretty well.

So to start, I painted my nails with a base coat of Barry M Papaya, and then used one of the new gellys; Passion Fruit to paint a diagonal stripe down my nail.  I then finished with top coat and pressed a stud into the center of each nail.

What I love about using studs on your nails is that they are SO EASY to just brighten up a manicure and make it look a lot more complicated than it actually was.  No intricate designs required, just whack the studs on!  Next I used W7 Silver Suede as I thought the matte of the polish and the shiny of the studs would be a good contrast.

Finally, I used the Blue from the Seventeen Rock Hard Nail Effects collection, and just added a couple of accent studs on.  If you've got really long nails you could add a third on, which would look pretty neat.

So, what do you think?  Pretty simple way to jazz up a manicure in my opinion.  My nails are quite thin, but if you have wider nails, I reckon you could probably squeeze three on in a triangle pattern and that'd look pretty cool.

Anyway, do check out all the fabulous nail goodies on offer at kkcenterhk.com, and do remember to use the discount code nuthinbutanailthing to get another 10% off their bargain prices.
