16. Inspired by Christmas Song /J.Lo - All I have/ *ACC* By krinolina-prettywoman

Ahojte!

Ďalší nail art na zozname má byť inpirovaný vianočnou piesňou. Priznám sa, nemám medzi nimi favorita. Samozrejme páči sa mi Wham! - Last Christmas, Mariah Carey - All I want for Christmas is You a iné vypalováky. Nechcela som však siahať na niečo, čo sa priznám mi už pomalinky lezie na nervy, keďže za cca hodinu v nákupnom centre som si ich vypočula zo tri razy. Preto som sa rozhodla pre mňa skôr klipovo ladenú pieseň do Vianoc, konkrétne od Jennifer Lopez - All I have.

Nechty som si najskôr nalakovala podľa úvodnej scény, kedy z modrej oblohy padá na zem snehová vločka. Použila som modrý metalický lak od Oriflame - Very me - Blue Metal. Keď bol lak takmer uschnutý som jemne vejárovitým štetcom naniesla zopár modrých trblietok a zafixovala to Top Coatom od Catrice. Potom som si na prostredník nalakovala ružový podklad lakom od Rimmelu 60 Seconds - 405 Rose Libertine v dvoch vrstvách a na zvyšné nechty som aplikovala nálepku v podobe snehovej vločky. Neskôr, keď mi lak dokonale zaschol som nakreslila na necht čiernu mašlu. Jennifer má totiž v klipe oblečené ružové triko s čiernou mašlou cez prsia :)

Ahojky, dlho predlho nám nešiel net, preto bude tento článok trošku v sklze, jeden deň, to sa ešte snáď dá akceptovať :) No máme tu Advent a sestra sa nudila, tak hľadala nejakú vianočnú inšpiráciu na nete. A čo nenašla nail art challenge :D Šitú práve na Advent. O čo ide? V priebehu Adventu vytvoriť 24 nail artov inšpirovaných alebo typických pre vianočné obdobie. Tak som sme sa teda pustili do toho :) Tento Advent Calendar spustila na svojom blogu šikovná holka Hap Hap Happy Hands :)

Tuna si môžete prečítať, čo si pre nás Happy hands vymyslela a čo nás čaká a neminie :)

Takže cieľom bolo nalakovať si nechty načerveno:) Použili sme červený lak od Essence- Colour & Go - 61 Fame Fatal, po novom už 114 :) Aby to nebolo také obyčajné a jednoduché aplikovali sme nálepku v tvaresnehovej vločky a pretreli Top Coatom :)

I know that Christmas time is long time gone now. I totally forgot about these cute stickers:

Znam da je Božić već odavo iza nas. Sasvim sam zaboravila na ove naljepnice:

 

They are from KKCenterhk online store. I thought that putting them on a neutral or nude polish would be good idea, so that's what I did. Unfortunately, outside was dark so the pics are taken inside, under artificial light, which is not flattery to my poor skin... but, you get the picture.

First three pictures from this series are taken in the sun, the last two in the shade. I made purple glitter to blue gradient, then stamped the pattern with white polish... but couldn't resist to add some gold sparkles on fairies wings. Too many sparkles, this manicure was almost impossible to capture it.... but I love the way it looks .

Crumpet's Tarts Winter Holiday Challenge by samplesentaeyen

So I had planned out my manicure for this week, and then Tuesday night I was going to do my nails but I was just too exhausted and forgot :P Then my sad news arrived and I just didn't feel up to doing my nails at all, understandably. I almost didn't do them today, either.. but I wanted to have something on my nails.

I'm going to keep this short, as I said I'm pretty exhausted. I'm starting the challenge for Crumpet's Nail Tarts Winter Holiday Challenge. Since I'm late, and I can only do 1 manicure a week anyway, I went ahead and tweaked my planned manicure a bit.

I started out with 1 coat each of Julep Jessica, with Julep Kate on the accent.

I decided to do a saran wrap manicure. I do mine a bit differently than how I've seen others do theirs. I put a little bit of polish on a ball of saran wrap and then dab it on my nail, sort of like using a sponge. I used Kate again using this method, over Jessica.

You can't really tell at all from my photos, but I then applied one coat of butter London Knackered just to give it some sparkle. I may try to get some pictures in the sun when I get a chance. Meanwhile, I hand painted on some blue candy cane stripes on the accent nails using OPI Yodel Me On My Cell, from the Swiss collection. I did two layers of the stripes.

I finished off my nails with a couple of stickers I received for review from KKCenterHK. These are from the 3D Nail Seal Xmas Christmas Design Nail Seal-363 and 3D Nail Seal Xmas Christmas Sock Snowman Design Nail Seal-373 packs. They were a little trickier to work with this time, because my nails weren't quite dry enough. I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures, but they kind of sunk into the paint a little bit which kind of creates a cool effect. I'm not sure they were supposed to do that though. One complaint I have about these from working with them last time is that because the stickers do not lay flat, they do snag and break off in little hunks after some time. Not a big deal but I did want to mention it.

Braided Christmas manicure by samplesentaeyen

Today I'm going to show you the last two of the Tip Top Nails South Africa polishes I have for review this month. It's been fun trying out these polishes all month long, but I'm not really certain where the time has gone. November just seemed to fly away.

I was trying to decide what to do for my next manicure, and my mom had suggested that a braided Christmas manicure might be pretty. I had never done a braided manicure before, and my last two colors are rather Christmasy, so that's what I decided to do.

For this manicure I used Tip Top Nails Night Rider, Cha Cha Cha, and Get Reddy. I used Swatch and Learn's tutorial for the braided fishtail. I did a simple? gradient for the accent nail, but I kinda goofed it :P

 As you can see, Cha Cha Cha is a very pretty cyan color which is kind of weird for a Christmas manicure, but I think it works OK. In the dark light that I'm used to it looks more green. I really love Night Rider, and Get Reddy is such a beautiful, gorgeous red. Perfect metallic red polish for Christmas.  I started with one coat of Night Rider, and then used just one thick coat of each color for the braids. As you can see, Cha Cha Cha and Get Reddy each applied pretty well with just one thick coat.

I also have to say, this technique was easier than I expected, and it was neater than expected. It's definitely not perfect, but my manicure turned out much nicer than I thought it would. Mike actually asked if I had used tape, so apparently I impressed him :)

I'm also showing off a couple of decals I received to review.  I'm going to play with these some more in the next few weeks, as well as another set.  The decals I used today are from 3D Nail Seal Xmas Christmas Design Nail Seal-363 from KKCenterHK.


These decals were very easy to use.  I had no problems with them, except the teddy bear is a little large and so it didn't quite lay flat against my nail. Not a big deal. You can't tell from my picture, but there are lots of little pieces of glitter on these, and the shine pretty well matches Cha Cha Cha. I love happy accidents like that! I completely forgot that these are supposed to glow in the dark until I read the Web site, so I will have to try these out some more and hopefully get some glowing pictures to show you.

Christmas nail art stickers (382) by nailphotosbylani

Hello everyone!

I have been contacted by KKCenterHk again, and one of the things I chose are these Christmas stickers. Nail stickers is an easy way to make a special mani on big days, when you have too much to do and think about. I will show the stickers used on an accent nail, with one image on each nail, and with glittery tips. Christmas is only one month away!

First I'll tell about the stickers, and then lots of photos.

One pack of stickers is enough for 3,5 full manis. So there are 6 of each image. There are 6 different images. I have used 4; Santa, snowman, penguin, and a tree with a star.

The images are in many colors: red, blue, green, yellow, orange, black, and white, with glitter. But because the stickers are placed on see through plastic, it's easy to check which polish will work best.

There are instructions on the back side.

KKcenterHk have very many stickers, or 3D Nail Seals, as they call it. So if you want Christmas stickers that are more monochrome, you have many to choose from. But if you want to use these stickers and you want your mani to match different colored clothes, you can either choose to just do an accent nail, like I did with the snowman, or you can add glitter, or you could only use two images on all the nails. Or you can use all the different colored stickers and add a multicolored glitter french, to enhance the multicolor look so much that your mani actually goes with nearly everything.
