#RetoPuntosMNA Día 1 - Uña Completa by isaspinods

Betty Boop Nail Art + KKCenterHK Review by nailtreasures

This week’s nail art was inspired by Betty Boop. A week or so ago I was talking to one of my teachers about nail ideas and she mentioned Betty Boop. I decided to attempt the idea.
The pictures in this post are a little on the ugly side. The lighting was terrible when I went to take the photos.

For the non accent nails, I used Nicole By OPI – Challenge Red-y with two coats of New York Color – Broadway Burgundy Frost for a bit of red shimmer. I then added square gold studs to all of my non accent nails. My two ring fingers consist of a base of Funky Fingers – Down to Earth topped with Sally Hansen – Set the Stage. I freehanded Betty and Pudgy. To fill the empty space with Pudgy, I added a star gold stud.

I was also sent this triangle dish by KKCenterHK for a review. I initially thought I would use it for glitter, but found that it works wonderful for studs that come in little bags.

The problem with the studs you buy in bags is that when you shake some out to use, they tend to get everywhere and you have to chase them around!
DSCN3966

To combat that problem, I poured my studs into this triangle dish and was able to easily maintain and use my studs. However, when you pour out the studs, the majority of them like to face down. However, using this dish, I found that once you used all of the face up studs, you could easily pick up the dish and hit it lightly against your table, and more studs turn upwards. Easy as that!

Cleanup is a breeze too! Because of the triangle design, you can easily pour the studs (or whatever else is in the dish) back into it’s packaging!
I don’t normally rave about every new thing I get, but I absolutely LOVE this product! It’s so simple, but incredibly helpful! It’s the simple things in life!
If you’d like to purchase this triangle rhinestone placement dish (which I totally think you should!) for a whopping (kidding- more like incredibly low price) $1.35 USD, head over to KKCenterHK! You can even save 10% with my coupon code: nailtreasures
Thanks for reading!!
*Triangle dish sent for honest review. I am not being paid to make this post.

New In - KKCenterhk By coisasdanadya

NOTD: KKCenterHK Stamping Plate By crissiesmind

Some time ago KKCenterHK sent me some pretty-pretty flowery water decals, which you can see here, and a stamping plate.
It took me a little to long to post this because of all the thigs I had to do for school.
Anyway, the nail design is here now and I'm very pleased with how well this stamping plate works. In fact, all the KKCenterHK stamping plates I tried, were great.

   This is how it looks:

   Price: USD$4.55
   You can find it: here.

   And some photos:

   Nail Polishes I used:
  • Golden Rose Care + Strong 213
  • Golden Rose Paris 04

xoxo, Cristina

As minhas unhas hoje » 13 * By maisumaviciada

my halloween nails By instantmilk

Before you go ahead and read this post, I just want to ask you to PLEASE excuse my cuticles! They need to be seriously taken care of...

Last week, I wanted to make sure my nails would go with my Halloween costume. I decided to do a nail design that would have purple colors (since those were the colors on the flower crown I wore), and of course, black.

Some weeks ago I received this nail art set of brushes and wanted to get creative with them. I have had other brushes in the past but they were so stiff that I could barely use them to do all the drawings that I wanted.

I only had about 30 minutes to do my nails, since I had to go take pictures for my last post, and then get ready for a Halloween party. This explains why I only did one hand.

I have to say the brushes were really easy to use and helped me do the skull on my index finger fairly quick!

nail art brush set: KKCenterHK (code: JR1131, find here), nail studs: KKCenterHK (code: NNAIL-DRN661, find here)

Hope you guys like this nail design, and definitely give these brushes a try. I have already done a few designs with them and am pretty happy with the results.

xx

KKCenterHk Review - Plastic Scraper and Stamper + Pond Mani Technique By nailslikelace

The mani I showed you yesterday used a stamping plate from KKCenterHk. I also used a stamper and plastic scraper from them in that mani, and in this one.

This design is known as the "pond mani". You basically layer an image with a jelly polish. So I put down my base color, stamped the heart once, then applied a coat of a jelly, stamped the image again in another spot, more jelly, and so on. This way the first image (they can also be done freehand) is under more layers of jelly polish and going up from the bottom layer, they range from dark to light. Make sense?

For this mani, I used NOPI Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam as my initial base, then Zoya Frida for my jelly layers.

Some of the images didn't pick up wholly but that's just because I used SE02 from Salon Express, one of those cheapy plates that never work. Otherwise, the stamper was great. Nice and compact so it doesn't take up a ton of room. It picked up the images really well. My only complaint is that the rubber part is red, so if I were stamping with a similarly colored polish, it would be difficult to see on the stamper. I personally just prefer a clearer rubber bit.

When it comes to the scraper, I used to use a metal one, but decided I didn't want to scratch up my plates and switched to using an old gift card. The issue with those, though, are the little bits of plastic that stick out on the edges where it was perforated. If you don't pay attention and avoid scraping with that area, it can scrape off too much polish. So I have always wanted an actual plastic scraper to try out!

This one from KKCenterHk is item #JR1140. It is $4.05 USD for the stamper and scraper set.

Since this scraper doesn't have holes along where the scraping part and handle meet like metal scrapers usually do, it is a lot easier to keep completely clean! It has just the right amount of flexibility for proper and scraping, and stands up perfectly to be cleaned with acetone! This will probably be my go-to scraper from now on. I love it!
