Peacock Feather Water Decals from KKCenterHk By paulinaspassions

Hi everyone. A while ago I got these pretty feather water decals from KKCenterHk and today I want to show you a design using these. First to all I want to put a little disclaimer here: I have never used water decals before. And… it wasn’t as easy as I imagined, but here is what I produced :)

I used two colors as my base. The blue one is OPI Gargantuan Green Grape. What a strange name. What is a gargantuan anyway? Can somebody please explain that to me? OK, so I just googled it and it means “enormous” Anyway, the white base is from H&M.

So, the first mistake that I made with these feather water decals was not waiting enough for my base polish to dry. The nail polish was still sticky when I was applying the decals and I couldn’t move them around anymore… Nevertheless, I still managed to put these decals in a place where I wanted with a few unwanted folds that you can’t really see.

For those of you who don’t know how to apply water decals (I didn’t know myself before I tried today), you need to cut the design, remove the foil and dip the decal in water for about 20-30 seconds. Then pick it up with tweezers and remove from the paper. Apply it onto your nail. You can use fingers or tweezers to have a better movement and place it precisely where you want it. And that’s it. You have to make sure that your nail polish base is completely dry before you put decals. Also, be careful, because I have noticed that they tend to fold, if you don’t apply them evenly.
