Buna fetelor! Am vrut sa fac postarea asta de cateva zile, dar am tot amanat caci am vrut sa postez unghiile tribal (pe care nu le-am facut), dar am lasat-o balta si m-am pus pe treaba fiindca sunt foarte incantata de faptul ca am primit sa testez tinte sau cum le-o spune pentru unghiute de la kkcenterhk.com. Chiar intentionam sa-mi cumpar in viitorul apropiat si colaborarea cu ei a picat la tanc, hi hi.

I wanted to do this post few days ago because I wanted to show you my tribal nails, but I decided to show you my stud nails because I am very excited about the fact that the kkcenterhk.com sended me some studs for testing. I really wanted to buy some and I wanna tell that my collaboration with them came at the right time, hi hi.

Nu stiu voua, dar mie imi plac tare mult, ce-i drept sunt putin cam mari pentru unghiutele mele, insa pe unghii false ar arata genial. Se pot lipi cu oja sau cu super-glue, de obicei eu folosesc lac incolor, e cel mai indicat din punctul meu de vedere si stiu ca unele fete se plang ca nu le tin prea mult, insa avand in vedere ca eu ma plictisesc dupa 2, 3 zile de un model nu-mi fac probleme.

EN: I don't know about you but I love them, to be honest are a little bit large for my nails but on gel manicures the studs look awesome. I glued them with polish, you can also use super-glue, usually I use transparent polish, I recommend it because it lasts if you know to keep your nails safe from water and different things that can cause problems to your polish.

EN: Sooo, this is how it looks, I received them after I came from Resita and I was almost to forgot, if you want to order studs (you can see more designs here) I recommend you to take some small ones about 2, 3 mm because mine are about 5,6 mm and as I told are to big for my nails. 

Cam atat pentru azi si nu uitati, daca vreti o manichiura deosebita, tintele cu siguranta va vor scoate din anonimat. Voi aveti tinte pentru unghiute?

EN: This is for today and don't forget one thing: if you want a special mani, studs are a great way to impress people.

Nail Foil Tutorial and Review By nailovelogy

 
I received two nail foil designs and a non-dry glue from KKCenterHk for review. It's the first time I do nail foil, so it is by no means perfect. Anyhow, I will take you through how I applied the foil in this post along with some handy tips for beginners.
  

You will need:
1) Nail foil transfer
My 5 year-old chose a silver little circle foil and a silver digital square foil, as it turns out, looks similar. The circle foil is more subtle than the square.
2) Nail glue
Similar to PVA, the glue turns from milky white to transparent when dry. Dried glue feels sticky on nail.
3) Cotton bud
4) Tweezer (optional)

In 2 and 3, glue is still wet on the milky nails. Glue is dried on nails that appeared clear.  

1) Cut foil into pieces big enough to cover your nail 
Prepare one piece per nail or one longer piece for two nails (if you're lazy like me). I won't recommend lazier than that as application can get messy. Size-wise, the foil piece should be ~1.5 times wider and longer than your nail size for proper coverage.

2) Apply nail glue 
Prepare nail as with a normal manicure (remove cuticle, clean nail surface etc). Apply a thin layer of glue over clean naked nails. You can apply on top of polish but I found no difference in adherence or final finish with these foils I used. 
*The key to successful foil is to let the glue dry completely before putting on foil!
It is crucial to let the glue to dry, which goes from milky to transparent. Drying will take approximately 3-5 minutes depending on humidity and individual chemistry. If you can let dry for longer, please do. 
*Bear in mind your nail is sticky with glue on, even when the glue is dried (that's why the foil can stick to nail). Avoid dust, hair, cat fur or anything that may stick, unless you want a 'textured' foil finish...

3) Apply foil with cotton bud
Place the foil on the midline of your sticky nail. Then use a cotton bud, gently spread the foil to the sides, one side at a time (to minimize creasing). Don't use the end of tweezer or hard edge to press foil down, which tends to create creases. Finish up by pressing the foil down at the free edge to properly wrap/seal the nail. 

4) Lift foil backing from nail starting from the free nail edge
I used a tweezer to lift the foil backing away. If the glue is properly dried, the foil will stick well to your nail and the backing will peel off perfectly, leaving a clear hole (Image 4)
* depending on the design, you can patch up imperfection by placing unused foil on pits that didn't pick up the foil (Image 4).  
* Not all polish top coat works well with nail foil (shrinking). I applied Picture Polish's Revolution as top coat on one nail as suggested by Cathy of More Nail polish and found no   difference in the finish. More trials are needed to confirm.

I am puzzled by the ridges at the final finish but they remained even with ridge-filling basecoat, my guess is the glue was bit thick both in formula and in my application. Also, I keep staring at the creases and wonder if it is my natural nail curve or just the matter of practising. Overall, my first nail foil attempt was fun and I see a lot of potential with mix-and-matching different foil designs, e.g. for galaxy manicure. What is your experience with nail foil? Any tips for preventing creasing? xx Ann

Eyeliner Stickers review (kkcenterhk) & tips By life-and-lemonade

 Friendly folks from kkcenterhk wanted me to review a product for you guys and I choose these eyeliner stickers. I really wanted to try something little different and bolder that I wouldn't normally purchase so I thought eyeliner stickers would be fun since I never tried them before.

The moment I saw these on their website, I was in love. They are really classy, modern and fun so when they arrived in my mailbox I couldn't wait to try them out. 

You get 4 pairs of stickers on a white sheet; 2 bold dramatic pairs with detail golden ornaments and 2 more subtle wearable ones.

Tip: Be extra careful when removing stickers from the sheet since they can bend and fold easily, or even rip. I bent the white sheet at a spot where the inner corner of the sticker starts and used my tweezers to carefully life the tip and remove the sticker from the sheet.

They come with instructions that tell you our lids should be clean.
Tip: I realized this means no make-up applied on the lids as well because I tried to combine the stickers with eyeshadow look and they didn't stick well at all. Serves me right for ignoring instructions.
Sadly, that means these stickers are meant to be worn alone, perhaps some eyeshadow in the crease wouldn't hurt but be careful.

So, the first pair that I tried were the smaller ones and I didn't really like what they did to my eye shape. The thick part in the middle of the sticker made my eye look rounder (which is great if you like that shape for your eyes), I just didn't really dig it. I think these are primarily made for asiantype of eyes, I realized upon seeing they were way too small to cover my entire lash line and the roundish shape I mention would also work very well in favor for their eye shape.
However, you can make them work, it'll just take a bit tilting until you find the right spot to place them.
Also, it wasn't very easy to apply them. If you apply them wrong the first time, that's pretty much it because when you remove it and try again they totally lose their grip and sticking ability.
Tip: Before you remove it from the sheet, cut the sticker, still on the sheet,  following very closely the sticker line. That way you can plan where to place it on your eye without having to actually stick it and then remove it when you're wrong. Wish I tried this before sticking the first one on wrong.

The corners gave me a bit of trouble, as well.
1.Inner one simply refused to stick no matter how many times I adjust it and press it firmly and hold.
2. Same happened with the outter one, even though this one would stick for a few seconds and then start to come off with a few blinks.
Tip: Use lash glue on the inner and outter corner of the sticker. I used just a little drop and completely solved this issue.

Another thing I wasn't really fond off is the fact that you can see the invisible plastic line tracing all around the sticker. Maybe you can't see it on photos much but it's noticeable in real life.

On the plus side they are soft, thin enough for your eye to get used to them. The feeling is the same with wearing false lashes. It's odd at first but after a few minutes your eye gets used to them and you no longer feel them.

Moving on to other pair.
I had quite a different experience with these. They were a LOT easier to apply (I'm assuming because they're quite bigger) and the grip was also much better.
1.Only used a hint of lash glue on the inner corner just in case.
2. Tip: If you have big eyelids like me try to manage to avoid the crease corner because when you open your eyes the sticker will totally bend into the crease looking wrong and awkward. Map it out so you leave this part of the eye free.
3. When I figured out where they would work for me, the outter tip almost reached my brow. This is perfectly fine for me but some of you might think this is a tad too dramatic for you. Again, I'm assuming these were made mostly for asian type of eyes where this would work differently.
Tip: You will probably also need to fill in the gap between the sticker and lashes with black pencil/eyeliner/eyeshadow.

Added a bit mascara. I simply love how these look on my eyes.

Bottom line:
PROs:
- $3.60  is more or less OK price for these
- soft, bendable, thin
- beautiful designs, many to choose from
- reusable few more times if you use some lash glue

CONs:
- tricky, time-consuming application (if you're first timer at it, like me)
- size was too small for me

Even though I struggled in the beggining I like these stickers, they were fun for me to try out and wear. If nothing else, they take a great picture. This experience woke up curiosity for these kinds of products in me.
