Review- Solone Dual Action Eyebrow Gel & Pencil (Brown)! By gyarurin

KKCenterhk sent me this Solone Dual Action Eyebrow Gel & Pencil along with several other items to review back in November. I only now got round to reviewing it, but you can see it in use in almost all of the posts over the last couple of months! ^^ This product is super convenient, especially to take on the move as it's got both parts in one.

The packaging it came in was very sparkly and pretty, with a metallic effect and feminine, classy colours. It is a little unnecessarily big, though! Luckily, that's not the case with the actual product.

The product has a sturdy, neat case with a pleasant matte finish. The tapered shape makes it easy to find by touch in a busy makeup bag, and the lid stays on a lot better than most other pencil products I own..!

The only real downside to the packaging is that you must remember to twist the pencil back down again; if you leave it peeking out when you put the lid back on, it will get squished!

Looking at the pencil and the gel, they seem to be very different colours- the gel a bright bronze and the pencil a dull, ashy colour. However, when you swatch them you can see that they're actually a lot closer than they look. ^^ They still show up as a yellowish colour, but not as extreme as the other products I've used/seen! So actually this product looks a bit more 'natural' than the average Asian 'blonde' colour.

As you can see, my brows are pretty uneven here~ One continues beyond the arch while the other does not. I left the hairs pretty long as brow gel makes a bigger difference on slightly longer hairs.

Well, actually, I did a little more touching up with the pencil after this, and if you want you can also add a brow powder of your choice on top. ^^

This product stays on very well- it always shows up on my makeup wipes at the end of the night! However, if you mess around with it after wearing it for several hours, it can kind of... pill up and roll off. XD As long as you leave it alone (you're not meant to touch your face anyway), it's fine. :)

Also, a general tip about using eyebrow mascara in general: When you do the second brow, re-dip and wipe it to ensure they're even! ^^
