march challenge: ombre by iloveprettycolours

Hey everyone!
Today's post will be a mixture of today's challenge and a review of another product from KKCenterHK, and therefore will be longer.

Today's theme for the challenge is Ombre. I didn't feel like wearing just the gradient on my nails. In the meantime, I got two nail foils from KKCenterHK for review and decided to use one of them on top.

I absolutely love the way it turned out.
Here's the gradient itself, so you can see how it looks without the lace. I used OPI You're Such a Budapest and Essence Cookies & Cream.

Now a couple of words about the nail foils.

What you get is a roll of nail foil and a bottle of glue. The glue reminds me of PVA glue (the one that many bloggers use as their peel-off base coat). I have yet to test that theory and I'll do it with the next foil.
The lace foil is very detailed and has a bunch of different flower designs integrated, but it's impossible to make the nails look the same. It's a nice alternative if you don't like stamping or putting actual lace on your nails.

The application process is very easy:
After your base coat has dried thoroughly, apply a thin coat of the glue and wait for it to become clear. Once it has become clear, just lay the piece of foil on your nail and press firmly. The design will instantly transfer on your nails and you're done. I added Seche Vite on top and the foil didn't react to it, since I know many other foils react to top coats and wrinkle.

Overall, I love how fast I did this manicure. The foil's application is foolproof, you can't really make a mistake. If you don't want your entire nail to be covered, you can make dots or other shape and proceed the same after the coat of glue dries.

You can get the lace foil here for $6.92, or as a set with small glue for $8.86 and large glue for $10.80.

You can get 10% off your order over at KKCenterHK using the code: "iloveprettycolours".

The product was sent to me for review. However, my opinion is 100% honest and is not affected by this.
